The Bride and the Groom

Congatulations Weng and Wolfgang!

Our friend Wolfgang married a Filipina from Ginoog City Philippines, her name was Rowena or we called in her short name Weng. They got married last December 22 in Standesamt (civil department) in Kleve. After a long waiting the time was here, since we meet Wolfgang before he invited us to attend their wedding. The ceremony was very solemn attended by the grooms family and some of friends. It's a little bit difficult for the bride because she need a translator for every words that the judge said. Lucky that other Filipina was there she help the bride to understand the German language.

It's not easy in part of the bride imagine weng arrived in Germany the other night and the wedding was the next day, shocking in part of her. But still she is so lucky because one of her friends was there attending their wedding. And she is surrounded by a Filipina including myself lol. After the ceremony the visitor directly proceed to the grooms house to enjoy the most awaiting meals...hehe... Everybody enjoyed the foods and most of us had a take home meals. LOL.

As my opinion it is better to got married in Philippines than to here, there are lot of reasons to consider. First when you got married to PI all your family was there, less expensive than to here. After the wedding the bride can now apply a new passport under the name of the groom, and all the papers she need in the future was hazzle free because she is now registered in groom's surname. ( just my opinion)!

They are my closest friend during HS but Brenda is the sweetest one, i remember what she did during recess in canteen before she left she write a note to me in a tissue paper like-"take care my friend", and she promises me too, that we meet again when we be at the age of 50 at our school in San Francisco HS EDSA .(don't know how to meet her again don't have her address anymore).

When I was in High School we have a subject of Home Economics. Our Teacher teaches us about household choir and budgeting.
From that subject I learned how to save an extra money from my weekly allowance, i see to it that i have put a single centavo into my piggy bank. Until now I have my own family Carried it into my whole life I rather want to save and budget my personal budget than to spent it in anything that I wanted to buy. It is good if you save for a rainy days than you don't have anything in your hand. The budget software is there for us to help us to do anything about our income monthly . They teaches us how to avoid living from paycheck to paycheck meaning you just wait for the monthly salary just to pay your debts. It is really true now a days that our economic was not stable we encounter difficulties how to budget our money. For sure when you read this YNAB software and applied it for yourself your every dollars work in everything in your budget. And you be worry free when the bills coming, they make an adjustment for both of you couples about your overspending.

Were you friends before he became your bf? YES after 2 years of writing email and after that time , year 2004 we are engaged. We write only emails no chat for the reason that he don't have any knowledge about yahoo messenger so everyday we exchange emails. After we got married that was the time i introduced to him about YM..( weehh)

What was the sweetest thing he did for you? He sent me a CD - Deutsch sprache- learning to speak German and necklace with heart pendant which he mean that was his heart.

Money in Blog

First i was hesitated to create my blog for the reasons that i am not a writer and more ideas to share. But one day if found myself created one which time pass by i created another which bring my brain work and meet lots of people around. And i read more and more about other blog caught my attention about Bloggerwave where the blogger and the advertisers meet. And through this the bloggers can earn extra money and work by its own convenient time and place. Just register your blog and wait if it is qualified, if yes you can now wait for the job waiting for you.

A defense of oneself-shyness

Shyness sometimes can't avoid its a normal as a human. When we are shy our face tend to turn red. Sometimes brings to us to be confused in everything or we lost in focus. I do not think that shyness can be kept within bounds by any ethical arguments. I used to tell myself if i encountered it for instance, i was okay , i know what i did and what i can say. Old folks said you become shy if you do not good to your fellows, or you are in the world of lying telling not the truth in order to compliment yourself or others or not to hate disregarded by them . My point is I'm a better person ,i am what i am, naturally had a weaknesses and strength, even though it is not good to think negatively then think both (negative and positive ), if you feel that this feeling /practice can help you why not... Be yourself....

Breakfast

I'm a person who don't eat usually a breakfast, just a cup of coffee and that's all. But i noticed that during lunchtime i ate more than enough for me. So as to avoid it i tried now to eat at least a bread or a cereals with milk. As they say that our body need breakfast to break the longer hour from sleep we need to deposit an energy before we go to work.

Driving in the Highway

Last week we have an appointment to our Doctor, from our house we need to drive to there at least 1.5 hrs just to reach the clinic. We pass through the Highway directly to Cologne. As we drive all the way my husband played CD one of his favorite group the Abba, me too i love to listen to their music not a boring one. While continues driving i observed that my husband talked alone and said angry words.. because of some driver drives crazy in the highway and some don't follow the right speed we are on the free high way my husband drive to the speed he want that brings my nerved to death but he can handle how to drive for that speed. Some cars from Netherlands drive only 120 maybe because in Netherlands 120 is the maximum allowed limit (if im not mistaken) while here in Germany when you be in the free way you can drive until u want but you need to be watchful for those who are driving crazy around- those are not the one followed the speed limit for example its says 100 they drive 120..and when they be in free way they drive less than 100..its goes crazy right?.!

My color

Last night we go out to buy a medicine for aquarium just to save some fishes from bacteria. When we found all the stuff for the aquirium , we went to the favorite department of my husband the garden center we found a new and more orchids displayed.

As a normal reactions we bought again new. Even myself, I amazed for the color the combination of Lila and white. As my husband know that I love Lila since then, from purple, lavender ,violet , or whatsoever any shades of this color I really admired, he bought me my orchids as the same time my color. Why I love this kind of color ? I based it from my name when I heard somebody called me by my name I illustrated in my mind the wonderful color of lavender, Lila ,violet or purple. I dont know if this thing happen also to you, if you heared or read 1 word there's a character draw in your mind.

Almost everyday we go out with my mother in law just to eat piece of cake and drink coffee. From then on we meet the Lady name Mai at first i thought she is a Filipina but i was wrong. She is like a Filipina but she's from Thailand , yes Mai is a thailander but her attitude is like a filipina too. So, My mother in law asked "Kommst du aus Philippinen" are you from the Philippines? And Mai answer Nein ich bin aus Thailand..Ohh ,,,im thinking that she is a real Filipina. And i asked her too if she work at that Bakery she answer me nicely, yeah but my husband is the owner of this Bakery. OHH wow...so simple lady but down to earth attitude... She is nice and Friendly which i fond of to one person. "hindi mayabang" although she is the boss from that shop.
We know Mai for almost a year now and my Mother in law imake a surprised for me- my Visitor one of my down to earth friend i found around my place MAi.
It's nice to celebrate birthday and our wedding anniversarry with a friend and close family. Since my biological family is so far away and my husband family is just my mother in law. We celebrated only by us three.

November is my important month not only this is the month were i got celebrated my Birthday, but this is the month that i got married. Also the month for separation to my country. I called it 3 in 1 month. Yesterday is my Birthday , Tomorrow is our 3rd yr wedding anniversary and next week is my 2ND yr here in Germany. Time flies fast i can't imagine that i got married for 3 years now. Did you think i got married the right person?...Ob course yes.::.. Let me share this with you.

Food Allergy

Our food that we eat might cause an allergy, last night after i ate my favorite spinach and dried fish i feel something burning all my body. I had again my favorite visitor - allergy. (whew).. Itchy that you could understand where came from. I couldn't sleep good just to scratch all my body. I wake up too early just to eat sugar and honey they say that sweet things can help. Got afraid while my skin is almost red and swell.
I suffer also last year from allergy which last up to almost 8 months. My skin was full of reddish spot which feel me bad. My Dr. can't distinguish its causes. One of my doctor said that it might be Physchosomatic allergy - causes of depression. Maybe its a mixing of depression and also the food that i eat. But i think this is cause by Aspirin that i take when my migraine attacking me.
Food Allergy is manifested be reddening , swelling and itching of the skin and palate which i feel last night. Its may caused by the foodstuff such as spices and other additives of food preparations. I feel now terrible for scratching , my eyes is also swelling .

Our all saints and souls day Celebration

As a catholic belief we need to honor the soul of our departed ones. November 1 is the official All saints Day, which honors all the saints who attained Beatific Vision. Followed the next day November 2 we celebrated the All Soul's Day as honoring the faithful departed.

In my observation most people practiced are they went to the cemetery at the first day of November instead of its official day. Generally in the Philippines specially we celebrating this holiday we attend the mass or offering a mass to all the soul of our departed ones. In other town they exhibit the relics of saints on the catafalque or altars. I remember my old parents as the practice of the family they cook food, from these they set aside a little bit in the plate commonly they prepared those favorite food from the departed relative and offer prayer in the altars as they believe that the soul from the departed relative are just around to celebrate their days. Other are directly proceed to the cemetery to visit , bless and decorate the graves. This tradition is universal for us as a member of the catholic church and acceptable by the church as an old tradition and practice.

What i did today was, as honoring and remembering the soul of my departed love ones we visited the church near in our place , lighted a candle for them and offer a short prayer. Visited also the grave from my father in-law and offered flowers although my mother in-law bring flower almost everyday there.
Prayers is the only one we can offer and give to them no other things. They need us to say a prayer , they are helpless no one can help them but us. I did it not only for their special day but when i pray before i sleep they are all included. Because i believed for the old sayings that the soul is the best help for us when we are not here on earth or when our time comes they are there welcoming us and guiding us on our way were our destination are.

The doll and a Whiterose

My fellow blogger i wanted to share this to you SPECIALLY TO ALL THE MOM'S out there..IT touched my heart and soul, can't stop shed the tears...please do read... SORRY IT's quite long but it's worthful.----------------------------this is a forwarded email to me by mdam TY.
I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.
The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.
The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.'
Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him:
"Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''
The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.
The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.
Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.
'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much forChristmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.'
I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.
But he replied to me sadly. 'No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my Mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.'

His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.'

My heart nearly stopped.
The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tellMommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.'
Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He waslaughing. He then told me 'I want Mommy to take my picturewith her so she won't forget me.'
'I love my Mommy and I wish she didn't have to leave me, butDaddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.' Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll!'
'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!' Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that Mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!'
'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my Mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.'

'My Mommy loves white roses.'

A few minute later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket. I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.

I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changedforever. The love that the little boy had for his mother and hissister is still, to this day, hard to imagine.

Soup for us

Our food favorites is almost our fantasy when we order it to a restaurant. And mostly the one that we cook every time when we have an occasions, or every weekend as our specialty. Time Setting

Early this morning the time was adjusted minus 1 hour from the original time, this is because for winter time preparation. For me this is the time for a longer sleeping. There reasons for advancing clocks are so that the afternoon have more daylight and morning have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of the spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.
This could be helpful while in winter is so early to become dark outside compare in spring or summertime. Many countries have used it since then, it vary from the location and change occasionally. I remember during the time of Pres. C. Aquino she adopted this ideas to saved energy, but its not progress maybe because Philippines has no winter time. If I'm not mistaken, some people confused to this program specially to those working involved in time recording.

Evening at 9 - 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes).This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. Supposedly i wake up late in the morning but today i was awake early than the other day. My husband leave for work to attend his seminar for this week. The goodnews was our Deutsch Certifikat was ready for pick up. My teacher called me too early and said..Guten Morgen Fe...Frau Sinn sprechen...and so i can now get my D. certifikat Starting today or Tomorow. Keep you update "friendship" if i passed the said examination. (HOPE SO : WISH ME LUCK) Really thanks GOD for the goodnews that he sent to me always....

When we attended the Mineral Symposium near our town together with my husband who is a club member it discussed the orient pearls. I was attracted since, pearl is one of the most loved accessory by ladies like me. The past

The Festival

Last weekend my mother inlaw asked me to come with them to watched the parade for welcoming autumn nearby. They have simple festival if i compare way back in my hometown Philippines as we celebrated the IBALONG FESTIVAL in Legazpi City. We called it before Ibalong fever when October came because most of us are so eager to watch the street dancing joining by Government employees and other students from public to private School. Wearing their own colorful custome and carried their own props, and dance with their own tune. Every Region in Islands of P.I has their own different festival.

We have also the fiesta in our own town it will a day for fun and food, music and dance, we celebrated fiestas from good time to bad time. We are abundant for the celebrations like these that we can proud of as a Filipino tradition honoring the day of our saint in every bario or Town.
The parade here is just walking and shouting hallo. They have their own band just to put sounds and music for the said event. Created their own small float decorated with flowers and plants. Its just really simple.

Praise music

While making my knitting shawl I turn on the CD player and listen the inspirational/ praise music from the CD, I bought from the Philippines. I listened eagerly what the message was. Thinking about how music runs my imagination and soothing my souls to be inspired. Every lyrics from that CD I heard was motivated me and give me religiously strength.

Most of this praise music was not too popular for a young one compare to the love song but if I analyzed the sound was good and so the lyrics was SUPER! One I like here most was titled –ONE DAY AT A TIME-The lyrics said – One day at a time because might be tomorrow is not our mine. Askin God to show the life every day because life is not forever, everyday our life was changing INTO a purpose. I love listening Christian music since 1995 (if I’m not mistaken) where POPE John II visited the Philippines for the World Youth Day Celebrations.

Two in One

Husband and wife bind into one. Most of us (husband and wife) have our similarity physically or emotionally trait. (or reversed) We have our instinct to love each other.

Fortunately they are still waiting and we ate our lunch late. All the people there looking us badly ...lol..because supposed to be the boat must be running while the passenger eating, what happen was they eat first before the boat running because of US. lol

Our Simple life

The weather today was good and the wind was not so cold. So we decided to go around before we go to neighbor place to watch the parade celebration for incoming Autumn. That is our life with my husband every weekend if we say we go to stadt or other nearby places we drove asap. Or if we think we like to eat doner we eat doner ( food from turkis resto) and so on, we do what we know we enjoyed , only those simple things that its not difficult to comply . Oder just stay at home exchanging using computer, so boring sometimes but we need to make ourselves busy and happy. Exchanging jokes and never ending story /dreams about anything was also a part of our life. Simple things makes us happy.

Bridge for me symbolized the way to reach the other end by joining together. Thats us, we are from otherside of the world but through that connection we are now joining our dreams, life and hope...and most of these was our LOVE, riped day by day and slowly mature by the time.
